Since the development of acting, mostly every working actor has a rigorous interview process that we go through known as auditioning. This is where we have the open opportunity to prove to casting directors that we are more than just a face and that we actually have talent. During this sometime intimidating process, we are in a room filled with producers, casting directors, and sometimes the writers and directors of the project, performing the selected character to the best of our ability in order to be assessed accordingly. This method of evaluation allows the project’s directors and producers to see if you really “fit” the part as they envisioned. As the audition process continues to evolve we have now come to a day where video submissions are becoming the norm. Submitting an audition through video as opposed to being in person has it’s many pros and cons but if you don’t know how to submit a proper video audition you may already be at a disadvantage. This site has everything from casting calls to daily news and advice to help the evolving actor book more roles. Being well-informed about the acting world is not only important but a relief.
